We are a voluntary organisation and value all members of our staff. We are first of all parents, so we aim to treat all our players with the same love and understanding as we would treat our own children. All staff are CRB checked and are up to date with child protection and equal opportunity policies and are always expected to follow correct health and safety. All staff are FA approved and have first aid certificates.

Andy

AndyRole : Manager

Club Founder

Andy has been involved in youth football for over 20 years.Running and starting Leagues like Hackney marshes League formerly known as the Hackney Youth football League. The challenge of female football was too much to ignore after having so many daughters. Andy decided to make a female teams but they started beating boys on a regular basis so we made sure Rainbow had boys and girls players . He is a Youth Mentor and a fully Qualified counsellor and the clubs Welfare Officer. Andy is in charge of recruitment and general management of the club. Andy has gained a reputation over the years as a coach that develops players and then sends them in the correct and best  direction  regarding pro clubs or the next level without filling players heads with dreams

 

 

 

Gail

GailRole : Secretary/Coach

Gail is not only the club secretary but used to coach the junior side before a bad football injury. She is a FA approved coach and qualified referee and has a good understanding of football due to watching lots of it at all levels and working with the FA. Gail is very highly regarded across London for her knowledge of league structure administration. She has held many roles working across different leagues over the years but has chosen to save her focus and energy for Rainbow Football Club.

Gail is a Club founder and was instrumental to the current success of the Club today

 

 

Elisha

ElishaRole : Coach

Elisha has been a former player for Heatwave/Rainbow girls and has progressed on through her FA coaching badges level 1 and 2. At the moment, Elisha is a respected external coach for the club that will do random sessions where needed as she fully understands what is required. She is also a fully qualified referee,  and in charge of kit distribution. We consider Elisha a very versatile and valuable member of our staff.

 

 

Dimitri

DimitriRole : Coach

Dimitri has been with Rainbow for over 10  years and has shown that, along with all other Coaches, he is very adaptable with working with the boys and the older girls at Rainbow. Dimitri has also been  a Welfare Officer and at times Referees for HYFL. Dimitri has a very good knowledge of European football and can always relate very well with the younger players. Currently, Dimitri is the coach for the under 13s and we are more than happy to have him with us.

Dimitr did most of his early coaching at the side of Andy and was instrumental with the club winning all those trophies and helping with the past Rainbow dream teams.

 

 

Ade

ADERole : Coach

Ade has come along as a volunteer, has worked with all age groups and has a very good way of teaching children football. He still plays football at the moment and is very active with Rainbows adults team. Currently, Ade is working with all groups but his main age group is U12s.

Ade does a lot of the Administration at the club and communicates well with the leagues that we deal with

Ade fully understands the DNA of the club and is very much appreciated at Rainbow

 

 

Michael

Role : Coach

He is in his first year at Rainbow at has done a outstanding job with the U9 Blue team
Michael has progressed and has achieved his level one coaching badge and shown a willingness to
develop and learn as a coach the many sides of the role
Michael will be coaching the U10s Blue 2017/18 and is valuable member of the coaching Staff

Hasnat

Role : Coach

He is in his first year at Rainbow and has gained experience working alongside Ade and doing a
range of age groups but mainly working with the U10s who are going through transition going to 9v9
Hasnat has a great knowledge of the game and will be working towards his next coaching badge
Next season Hasnat will work with the U11s and we value his contribution at Rainbow FC

 

KB

KBRole : Coach

Has proved that by actually getting involved and being pro active brings a lot of satisfaction and good feeling.
KB is responsible for our current crop of youngsters breaking into league football and the demands that come with it.
KB is very passionate and this reflects well when you see his teams play.
There is no shortage of desire and commitment .
As a young man KB was involved in many sports from football to volleyball to martial arts the list goes on . This experience has certainly helped as KB and his groups are  very much about TEAM and raising levels of all.

 

Roger

RogerRole : Coach

Roger went to school locally and can relate to our players having come from our catchment area. Roger still plays which we always encourage.
Next season Roger will have his own team of U9s after gaining valuable experience with all of the age groups, Roger works with our Soccer school on a Thursday and as he still plays is a useful asset especially with live demonstrations.
Roger has a promising future with us Rainbow and his presence should be enough for                                                          others to come forward get in touch with us get your badges and begin a career in                                                                  sport .

 

Georgia

Georgia WilkesRole : Coach

Georgia is the coach that has been selected to work with our new reception group. Georgia was a successful captain back in the day with one of our girl teams. She has a good understanding of football having been around the game all her life. She is currently doing her FA Level 1 coaching badge and hopes to use her people skills to get the best enjoyment for her reception group.

 

 

Josh

JoshRole : Coach

Josh has been involved in football most of his life. He has had many years of experience refereeing junior matches and has now started coaching to not only broaden his career options, but also to get a better understanding of working with young children.
Currently he is gaining experience working with our year 1 group.
